You Can Help us Change Grant Seeking!

June 27, 2012

TGP has been dreaming up new ideas to help nonprofits find and get more grants – tools that make the process more efficient, improve access and approachability of grant seeking, and assist in proposal development. We’ve already been working on template forms for major federal grants and a tool to help take the pain out of the F424A budget. Now, we have the chance to be considered for a $250,000 small business grant from Chase and LivingSocial. But we need votes from Facebook users at www.missionsmallbusiness.com to make it to the proposal review round.

With this grant we will be able to tackle more ambitious tools for clients and the wider nonprofit world. For instance, mobile apps that help teams organize large grant application creation or local opportunity notices that post to your cell phone. Let’s say  you run a community health care center – imagine getting a notification on your phone when a new grant for primary care services in New Mexico is released. Or of you work with a team to tackle big grants, how about using a tablet or phone application in your planning meeting to set up deadlines, reminder calendars, component checklists, and project communication? Instead of recreating the wheel on federal forms and narrative formats, how about getting a packaged solution that sets up the project and helps ensure your responses are complete and compliant?

While grant opportunity seeking and preparation services for our clients is the core of our business, we know there are many more agencies out there that could use these tools. Our hope is to empower all nonprofits – not just those in New Mexico – to help identify and seek funding.

Please help us make these dreams a reality! To participate: Go to www.missionsmallbusiness.com. Click on the button labeled Log In and Support, enter “The Grant Plant” under the Business Name search field. We’ll pop up with our tagline ‘To plant today is to believe in tomorrow.’ Just click VOTE and TGP will get your vote. Last, we ask you to click SHARE and post it to your Facebook friends.

Together, we can be the next innovation in the evolution of grant seeking!
